This preserve is located at the northern end of the Kangaroo Lake causeway. It offers many iconic Door County natural features including lake shore, swampland, boreal and upland hardwood forests, and Niagara Escarpment rock outcroppings. It is a popular wildlife viewing destination. There is a 1.5 mile looped hiking trail which begins on top of a high ridge of an ancient lake and descends 130 feet to where Peil Creek enters Kangaroo Lake. Please, no pets. No facilities.
