Jacksonport Sports Park

The Jacksonport Sports Park, a several-acre site, is two blocks from the Lake Michigan shoreline. Amenities include a disc golf course; softball field, sand volleyball court; soccer field; ice skating; event concession stand, bleachers, and open-air pavilion with picnic tables. Horse pull competitions are held at the Sports Park during Maifest and Cherry Fest.

Clark Lake Westside Rest Area

Jacksonport’s Clark Lake Westside Rest Area is a small, quaint rest area overlooking Clark Lake. There is a boat launch and staging area, a park bench, and an exhibit of shoreline restoration using plants. Parking is available on Town Line Road.

Schauer Park

Schauer Park, on the Lake Michigan shore near the entrance of Whitefish Dunes State Park, is a popular place for kayaking and other quiet watersports. Logan Creek Preserve Trails

Logan Creek has 1.5 miles of wide, interconnected trails with boardwalks meandering through hardwood tree stands and wetlands. Binoculars and appropriate footwear are recommended. Take Lake Trail to the edge of Clark Lake where two overlooks await. In spring, trillium and other wildflowers carpet the preserve. Please, no pets. Erskine Rest Area

Erskine Rest Area is a nicely landscaped green space in the center of Jacksonport. The restored 1880’s root cellar originally belonging to the Erskine family is the notable feature. Meridian Park/Harter Matter Sanctuary

Meridian Park, a 155-acre nature park and wayside, celebrates its location on the 45th parallel, halfway between the equator and North Pole with an historical marker. The wayside has picnic tables and restrooms. Unmarked rustic trails provide pedestrian access into the park’s interior and to the Lyle Harter-Matter Sanctuary.

Lakeside Park, Jacksonport

Lakeside Park, with its pristine sand beach on Lake Michigan, is a perennial family favorite. Amenities include a small-watercraft launch, new recreational building, open-air event pavilions and walking paths. Many of Jacksonport’s signature community events including the Polar Bear Plunge, Maifest and Cherry Fest are held here.
