Three Springs Nature Preserve

The 1.75-mile hiking trail at the Three Springs Nature Preserve is not just a pretty walk in the woods; it is an important habitat for protected plants and animals, including the Hine’s emerald dragonfly and the dwarf lake iris. The trail weaves between prairie and wooded areas, past an old stone fence and farm buildings from the 1800’s to a boardwalk and viewing platform overlooking the spring where sightings of sandhill cranes and herons are common.
