The Mink River Estuary is one of the most pristine freshwater estuaries in the U.S thanks to preservation efforts. The one-mile Fern Trail begins at the parking lot, intersects with Maple Ridge Trail then ends at the river’s edge. Bird-watching opportunities abound with 200 species of birds migrating or living here. Bug Spray and appropriate footwear/clothing are highly recommended. Bikes, dogs and motorized vehicles are not allowed.
