Toft Point is designated as a National Natural Landmark by the National Park Service because of its 400 species of plants and its miles of shoreline with wave-cut dolomite cliffs. Toft Point is also designated as an exceptional wetland by the Ramsar Convention. Toft Point Road provides parking and access to one-mile trail that passes by an historic, circular kiln and ends at a Lake Michigan rock outcropping. Other trails are not well marked and may be overgrown. No facilities.
